Saturday-Sunday, August 4-5, Amazon Park; Blackberry bRamble Bike Celebration
Many know the Blackberry bRamble as the premier long distance ride in our area but it has grown over the years to include a family-friendly community ride and bike celebration and gets better each year. The bRamble has long been known for its scenic route, extraordinary rest stops, reliable support and free blackberry pie and ice cream at the finish. With additions like a dinner and movie the night before, camping, pancake breakfast and a huge bike-based celebration at the end of the ride the Blackberry bRamble is a summer event not to miss.
The night before the ride, meet other riders at a community dinner ($10.00) in support of Eugene’s Adaptive Cycling program. All are welcome to reserve a campsite overnight in Amazon Park, and purchase a pancake breakfast on the morning of the ride.
- To reserve your camp site, dinner or breakfast through the City of Eugene, Recreation Services call, 541-682-5311.
- The cost for the package of dinner, camping and breakfast is $20.00 or a la carte, dinner $10.00, camping $6.00 and breakfast $6.00.
Sunday morning, the rides begin. Whether you’ve chosen the 100-mile Century, the 62-mile Metric Century, the 39-mile Crow Loop, or the 10/20-mile Community Ride, you’ll arrive back at Amazon Park to find a bike celebration in progress, with bike-powered music, local vendors, a bike rodeo and tricycle race for the kids, great food, a beer garden, and much more. If you’re hot and tired, cool off with a swim at Amazon Pool for only $1.
All in all, it’s a great event you won’t want to miss.
Registration will be limited to 500 riders for the 100, 62 and 39 mile rides. The cost is $35 for Pre-registration which ends August 2. Day of event registration will be $45
